The Yakyuu Ken Special: Konya wa 12-kaisen (henceforth TYS) is a Japan-only adult-themed yakyuken simulation. TYS was developed and published by Societa Daikanyama in 1994 for the 3DO. A year later, the same company ported TYS to Saturn, and in doing so added a little extra content. (Eventually TYS was ported to the PlayStation as well, although that version was an unofficial pirate.) This game never left Japan, understandably. First let me explain that yakyuken is basically a game based on rock paper scissors. Although it can be far more elaborate than that (read the Wikipedia article on it). There is a variant of yakyuken that is basically strip-yakyuken. Meaning that the player who loses a round must remove one article of clothing each time they do so. That variant is what TYS uses as its premise. However TYS is not the first strip-yakyuken video game. The earliest known was created by Hudson Soft for the Sharp MZ-80K in 1981. I don't know what it was called, not worth the effort to find out.So in TYS, the player is tasked with playing strip-yakyuken against multiple young women. Uncomfortably young women. Granted they are all claimed to be 18 years old at minimum, but it's still deep on the creep scale. The player must first choose one of these girls to compete against. Afterwards a round initiates, during which the girl starts out fully clothed. During the first round, the girl dances around to a catchy song, as the camera scans up and down her body, zooming in and out on particular areas. After the little song and dance finishes, the camera zooms in on her face and the game pauses. During this pause, the player must choose either rock, paper, or scissors, by pressing corresponding buttons. Afterwards a CGI animation displays showing two hands exposing their chosen move. If the girl wins, the player loses one of five points. Then she begins the next round exactly as before. However, if the player wins, the girl loses one of her five points. If she loses a point, a scene is shown where she removes one article of clothing. Then the next round begins, in which the girl dances to the little song again, albeit this time with one less article of clothing. This cycle continues until either the player loses all their points (game over), or the girl loses all her points.
